Optimal Long-Term Results
Technological innovations constantly change the demands made on certain assemblies and/or individual components in the automotive industry. Due to the increase in electro-mobility in particular, new processes originate on a regular basis that call for flexible solutions.
We engage with such developments whenever they arise, engineering systems that process aluminum structural parts with complex geometries such as strut supports, side members, tailgates and battery cases using a fully automated, robot-supported procedure. Surfaces that undergo a lot of wear and tear such as power train elements as well as chassis, roof rails, cladding, design elements, steering wheels etc., must conform to high specifications. Assembly and adherend surfaces require custom-fit processing with no tolerance for deviations, this being a result no longer achievable by human hands.
Our systems enable us to fulfill all demands and ensure the optimal long-term results necessary for meeting extremely high sales targets while curbing costs of consumables.

Grinding, deburring and machining aluminium structural components in a single pass
Cars are becoming lighter and lighter, as steel is increasingly giving way to lighter materials such as aluminium in their manufacture. SHL AG has picked up on this development and developed a system that grinds, deburrs and then mechanically processes aluminium structural components - fully automatically in a continuous, robot-assisted process. In a continuous process and robot-assisted. SHL designed the production line as a general contractor for a medium-sized automotive supplier, who is delighted with its performance.
